Denarius, type 1
CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines).
TRI CAS (inscribed in two lines, a cross on the left).
One copy preserved at the Museum of Dijon, link to the Academia.edu page which presents this coin fig 4 page 26: https://www.academia.edu/22211591/Les_deniers_de_Charlemagne_frapp%C3%A9s_%C3%A0_Troyes_un_nouvel_exemplaire_in%C3%A9dit_Bulletin_de_la_Soci%C3%A9t%C3%A9_Fran%C3%A7aise_de_Numismatique_01_2016_p._25-28.
The coin of the Museum of Dijon has two globules linked to the reverse, above the letter R and which could suggest a tilde.
Patrick Nouchy in his book ''Les Rois Carolingiens de Francie Occidentale'' de Pépin Le Bref à Louis V (751 - 987) page 64 type 73A; gives a coin with the reference Morrison-Grunthal 161. This coin should be the same as this one but with a horizontal line separating the legend of the reverse. Is this a description error? Coin to be confirmed.
