Sou d'or (Solidus), 1 F
DNH LIIVVDOV??IINAVC (Laureate and draped bust of Louis The Pious on the right).
IIIIIIIIIOIIIIIIN (circular legend around a cross surrounded by a circle made up of dots).
One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2355520&viewType=detailView.
The letters following the number (1 A, 1 B..) classify the coins according to their quality of representation.
Obverse legend copied: DN HLVDOVVICVS IMP AVG
Reverse legend copied: NVMVS DIVINVM
The letters noted N and H on the obverse in the description, resemble letters I. However their form, rapprochement and the fact that they are followed by LIIVD (degenerate LVDO), indicates in my opinion, that it is deformed NH. The reverse is very similar to the 1 E, same engraver?
