Type 1: thin rim, composed of small spaced squares. Shorter hair on the forehead.
Type 2: large rim, composed of beading. Longer hair on the forehead.
The Gadoury 2017 listed more than ten variants from 1808 to 1814. The coin market does not take these variants into account, the prices are the same for all coins for each year. Look at ''Monnaies françaises, 1789 - 2017'' Victor Gadoury editions, page 527.
